Designer for New Restaurant, LARDO

Just seven days ago I walked into a not so nice looking establishment.  OK, it was nasty.  But in record time the soon to be brand new digs of restaurant LARDO will be complete.  And I have been asked to jump on board and design it, inside and out!

The old butt ugly forest green is gone and a cool Yolo Colorhouse Stone .07 is painted.  Contractor Tim Mencer used his talents to resurface the stingy aluminum with new mahogany wood.  Starting to see some style!
Check out the link below and read about LARDO.

You can also go to www.lardopdx.com and see the amazing menu, owner/chef, Rick Gencarelli is famous for!

Floors are done (hidden under paper), exterior colors are going up, and I am running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, grabbing tile samples, splashing colors up, searching for salvage wood for counter tops and tables.  This is going to be a super addition to the Portland eatery scene.  Where?  1212  SE Hawthorne St.   I can't wait!

DIY Book Shelves on TV

Thought you'd get a kick out of this segment I did for KOMO TV channel 4 in Seattle a while ago.  Just a super day! Drove up to Seattle, gorgeous day (3 hr drive).  Did my segment (3 minutes) then had lunch and listened to local music near the Space Needle and dinner at Pike's Place and drove home (3 more hours).  Good times!
